Our Greatest Enemy

One of the greatest enemies in our lives is our satisfaction with our present conditions. We spend our lives just settling for whatever happens and then we just adapt our lives to our circumstances rather than changing them.

I hear people say things like, “I can’t help they way things are. I just got dealt a raw deal.” They are always messed over and messed up playing the blame game.

You have heard it before. “My finances are bad because the market went down.” “There are just no jobs around here.” “I cannot find a good paying job.” There is always and excuse or somebody to blame. If you tolerate it, you cannot change it.

How about this? “My children are bad and my wife doesn’t respect me.” My question is “why?” What are you going to do to change it? Most people just adapt and go on. They will sit at home with no relationship with their spouse and undisciplined children with an “I can’t beat them so I will join them attitude.”

Here is the facts. You can change what ever circumstance you are in no matter how bad you think it is. It just takes a change of thinking.

If you can tolerate your present financial condition, you are not going to be able to change it. You have to develop a disgust with your present condition. You will either take control of your life and future or you will be dominated by your circumstances.

I cannot tell you how many times I have been at a low point in my life and was tempted just to quit and let things happen.

The fact is you cannot do that if you want to live on a higher plain.

You here people talking about extremes. One day, I looked up the word extreme in the dictionary. The definition this dictionary gave blew me away. This is what it said:

Extreme: to exist at a higher level. WOW

That is fantastic. I don’t know about you, but I want to exist at a higher level. I refuse to tolerate my present conditions when I know there is so much more for me to achieve in my finance, relationships and my emotions. The choice is mine. The choice is yours.

Right now, get that notebook out. Begin to search your heart and mind for the things you have been tolerating in your life that have brought you unhappiness. Write down the things about your finances, yourself, your family and your business or work that you know have to change before you can press further.

Most people don’t like to do this because it requires us being honest with ourselves. The things you write down are going to be an honest picture of your desires. From there you will begin to develop a road map to becoming the champion in life and business that you were designed to be.

Do not tolerate mediocrity another day in your life. Champions never adapt, they always strategize on a way to succeed.
